Hi, I’m Indra — born and raised in New York, a proud mom of two, and a woman shaped by both the beauty and the heartbreak of the city that raised me. I was front and center during 9/11, and the quiet anxiety that followed stayed with me for years — unseen by most, deeply felt by me.

For a long time, I searched for peace in the chaos… until one simple ritual changed everything: lighting a candle. That soft flicker became my calm, my breath, my reset. It reminded me of home, warmth, and stillness in a world that never slows down.

I’ve been living in Florida for years now, finding new grounding and rediscovering my peace — and in that journey, Oak & Sol was born. Inspired by the strength of oak (my New York roots) and sol, the Latin word for light (the calm I found here in Florida), this brand became my way of turning healing into something beautiful.

Today, every candle I create is carefully curated using luxurious coconut apricot wax, clean-burning skin-safe fragrance oils, and premium ingredients chosen with intention. Each one is hand-poured in small batches right here in Florida, the place I now call home.

My inspiration will always be New York — the streets that raised me, the resilience that shaped me, and the light that pulled me through the darkest moments. Every scent I craft holds a piece of that journey: healing, comfort, and the reminder that even after darkness… the glow always returns.
